Heh, this thread is kinda funny. I don't see how anyone can truly claim to be or claim to have found "thee best" player at something. Far too many people play, and you don't know 99% of em.
But then there is GvG and PvP--which we can all watch the best teams play one another. However, you guys are forgetting a key element to why we get to watch these teams. It's because they work well as one. Sure everyone in the team must be good, but it is truly the organization and the ability to play together that is making them look good.
So, we can use the observer mode, but the question of which player is good is hardly determinable. That monk may look spiffy because he is keeping everyone alive, left and right, and handling a lot of pressure. But maybe they're not fighting against pressue. Maybe the monk is doing a horrible job (as in he should be keeping the team's health up more frequently). That sounds weird, but any good monk should understand the idea there. Perhaps the monk is healing well because he is in a pressure build, and doesn't have many people on him. Heh, I know some of you guys probably watch a lot of battles, but it is silly to say you understood everything that was going on in that battle. You can only view 1 player at a time. There are whole other teams contributing to the ease and/or difficulty of the battle. We all understand some concept of what the teams as a whole are doing. Let's be real though, you don't know when most of the players are using which skills/spells and when.
Final note: Many masters of the game stick to PvE.
When dealing with henchmen and henchmen alone, essentially all other team illusions are eliminated. Do not think I am saying PvE'rs belong somewhere in a "The Best" list or thread :P. We certainly can't compare the differences between computer enemies/allies AI vs. human intelligence either. Just throwing some points out there.

Mastering mob AI and patterns is entirely different from mastering any given class.

QFT
The title rather misleading though since most of those posted are generally refering to PvPers, it should rather be: The Best Player at each Profession in PvP?

Altough giving lists of your favo's is fun and interesting, it would be more interesting to give an argument with each of your picks explaining what you think is so great on this particular player?
Else this can become rapidly a popularity contest.

Enough with the rants. If you don't understand the point of this thread, then you have a simple solution. Don't post in it, and don't rant about you not knowing and not caring who these people are. Thank you.

Seems that all the best players have been picked from top GvG guilds, but i saw Last Pride and WM in HA a couple of nights ago and they were pretty awful, they play GvG all day so naturally they will know their builds, but out of their safety zone they seem rather feeble.
I dont really think your gonna find who the best of each profession is with this, but i saw Achilles Gun interrupt another warriors shock with his own shock in the last 3 seconds of a HoH match which kept his ghostly capping and took the match, that was pretty awesome but i think the best people at each profession are the ones that invent the new builds, rather than use other peoples.
